The district has learned of three individuals who tested positive for COVID-19:
- One Schuylerville Elementary faculty member (last in school Dec. 23, tested positive Dec. 29, no resulting additional quarantines)
- One Schuylerville Middle School student (last in school Dec. 18, tested positive Dec. 22, no resulting additional quarantines)
- One Schuylerville Elementary staff member (last in school Dec. 23, tested positive Dec. 26, 15 students and 6 faculty/staff members quarantined)
Since learning of the positive cases, the district has been working in conjunction with Saratoga County Public Health Services to contact trace. At this time, all individuals who need to quarantine have been contacted.
Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
At this time, we plan for students to return for in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 4, but a pivot to remote learning could happen any day. As we continue to see an increase in COVID-19 cases, families should be ready for a shift to this temporary model of remote instruction.
If we need to communicate a change in the instructional model, we will send an email and text message indicating such.
If you have any questions, please reach out to COVID-19 Coordinator, Gregg Barthelmas. Thank you.
