The Schuylerville High School varsity girls and boys cross country teams placed first and second, respectively, at the Blackbird Invitational in Voorheesville on Saturday, Sept. 7.

For the girls, senior Sunni LaBounty led the team to the win with her third place finish. Other scores for the Black Horses included Megan Vianese (6th), Anya Vautrin (14th), Lillian Letzring (21st), and Emma Nesbitt (24th).

For the boys, sophomore Daryl Headen led the team with his fifth place finish. Other scorers for the Black Horses included Daniel Farbaniec (11th), Cody Belden (14th), Zachary Payant (16th), and Patrick McGloine (23rd).
