Catching Character program recognizes 130 students

More than 130 students were recognized during the three-week Catching Character program at Schuylerville High School. The goal of the annual program is to promote good character and reward students who demonstrate responsibility, perseverance, citizenship, self-discipline, honesty, courage, fairness, respect, integrity, volunteerism, reliability, caring, cooperation, and tolerance.

During the course of the program, 15 students were selected as “Catching Character Students of the Week.” These students each received a Subway gift card and were featured on the wall outside Student Services. All students nominated were included on a poster outside Student Services and each student received a free ice cream cone from Stewart’s Shops.

The “Top Character” for the program was freshman Joelle Lumia. She was nominated every week by a total of five individuals. Congratulations to Joelle and her fellow nominees!
