Capital project bids come in under budget, construction to begin in March

The Schuylerville Central School District is moving forward with its $24.7 million capital project, after construction bids came back under budget. The bids were opened on Tuesday, Feb. 5 and allowed for $190,000 in contingencies. Alternates include refinishing the high school bleachers, high school window replacements and paving at the bus garage.

Work is scheduled to begin in early March. All offices at the administration building will be moving to temporary quarters in the high school at the end of March. Please be advised that due to construction, activities held on campus during the summer months will be limited.

The district will be posting frequent updates throughout the project to keep the community aware of progress, as well as any limitations on campus.
