Schuylerville Central School District bus driver Denise Richard gave the students she transports a fun fall activity to do while riding the bus to and from school. Each day, Richard passes by a house on her normal run that has dozens of pumpkins sitting on a fence. Richard challenged her students to count the pumpkins as they passed
and submit their guesses. There were 110 pumpkins. Two elementary school students, Danyka Haver and Jacob Coonradt, guessed 100 and freshman Julia Lance guessed 110. Richard rewarded each student with a pumpkin to take home.
