The Schuylerville Board of Education recognized four student-athletes at its meeting on Monday, April 9. Senior Derek Willson was recognized for being named a Coca-Cola Scholar and for receiving the New York State High School Football Coaches Association (NYSHSFCA) Scholar Athlete Award. Senior Orion Anderson was recognized for winning his third straight wrestling state championship and being named the Division II Athlete of the Year for wrestling. Sophomore Hannah Klingebiel was recognized for placing first in Slalom at the state championship meet in February, winning Eastern State Championships and being named female Athlete of the Year for alpine skiing. Senior James Burke was recognized for being named Section II shot put champion. Burke’s performance helped the boys indoor track team finish fifth.
