Samantha Toleman and a friendA benefit concert will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 for a Schuylerville Class of 2011 alumna who is battling cancer. Samantha Toleman was recently diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Former Schuylerville music students Kevin Allen, Zach DiMeglio, Alex Griffen, Jilian Reilly, Avi Stark and Andrew Talbot are helping to organize the benefit and will be playing as part of the concert.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets will be $10 at the door. There will be basket raffles, food and other goodies for sale, with all of the proceeds from the event going directly to Toleman to help with her medical expenses. Concert organizers are asking everyone to wear purple, the color that represents Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Awareness, to support Toleman.

Organizers are looking for basket and baked good donations. Please contact Jodi Leight at or 695-3255 x 2156 if you would like to donate. Any check donations should be made directly to Samantha Toleman.
