2021-22 school year class placements

Dear grades K-4 families,

Schuylerville Elementary School believes academic excellence and high achievement result from well-balanced classes.  Parents have an opportunity to help ensure the classes are balanced and provide input into the process by completing the embedded Student Information FormThe form is due by April 15.

*Please note that this form is for parents of students who are currently enrolled in grades K-4. Incoming kindergarten students will have a separate form as well as current fifth grade students entering middle school.

Our team of administrators, teachers, and related service providers will soon begin the process of student placements in classrooms for next year. We invite you to share your thoughts on your child’s learning characteristics which includes their personality, learning style, social emotional needs, and any other valuable information that will assist us in making a positive classroom placement for the 2021-22 academic school year.

While your response is not required, should you choose to participate, we will use your input in the placement process.  Please note that we do not take parent requests for teachers and therefore this is not an opportunity to request a specific teacher for the upcoming year. Forms do not carry over from one year to the next and it should not be assumed that we have information you may have shared in the past.

The class placement process is extensive and well thought out.  As a result, after placements are made, we will not make changes to prevent disrupting in the balance of one or more classrooms.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child further, please contact your child’s teacher or myself.

Sincerely,
Rose Beckett
Schuylerville Elementary Principal
