Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Elijah Braymer, human resources executive at the Saratoga Target store, read “Green Eggs and Ham” to Jolene Curtis’ kindergarten class.

Dr. Seuss’ birthday is celebrated in conjunction with the Read Across America event, which encourages children to keep reading and learning.

Target donated a bundle of Dr. Seuss books to the Schuylerville Elementary Library as part of the event. Students wore red and white striped hats that resembled the hat from “The Cat in the Hat,” which they created while working on their “at” words.
