Robotics club receives $2,000 Stewart’s grant

The Schuylerville High School robotics club has received a $2,000 grant from the Stewart’s Holiday Match program. According to club mentor Todd Kehley, the money will be used to advance the capabilities of the team, enter future competitions and expand the components and materials available to the team for future robots. This is the fourth year the club has received funding through the Holiday Match program.

From Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day, customers donated more than $926,000 to the program, which was doubled to more than $1.85 million with the Stewart’s match. After this record-breaking season, the donations will help fund 1,737 children’s charities and organizations. The Stewart’s Holiday Match program has now allocated more than $24 million since the program’s inception in 1986.
