An Opportunity to Get Involved!
Parents as Education Partners (PEP) is an organization of parent volunteers and school representatives. This non-profit group is an essential bridge between home and school. Additional programs support the welfare of students and the community at large.

Here's just a sampling of the activities PEP provides:

  • Book fairs

  • Field trips

  • Parent/child dances

  • Holiday celebrations

  • Cultural programs

  • Spelling bees

  • Movie nights

  • Ice cream socials

  • School Banking

Remember, the success of PEP-sponsored activities depends on parent involvement. Setting aside a few hours of time each year will make a difference. Click here to see descriptions of our events and what's involved when you volunteer.

We're currently in the process of securing chair persons and activity coordinators for the 2008-09 school year. Schuylerville Elementary School provides parents with a unique opportunity to be involved in their child’s school life. This is an opportunity that may not be found in other school districts. There are a number of positions that must be filled.
Click here for nomination forms for PEP positions [MS Word file]. If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten Pink at (518) 584-9109.

Nomination sheets must be completed and placed in the PEP Drop Box (next to the Library) no later than April 30, 2008. Ballots are confidential and you should feel free to nominate yourself. PLEASE don't toss this aside and assume "someone else will do it". There has been an increasing shortage of volunteers and we need many more parents to step up and help.

PEP's Schedule of Events
PEP events are listed in the Elementary School calendar (click here to link to the calendar). Event dates are subject to change. Please contact the Elementary School at (518) 695-3255, ext. 1221 to check for the most up-to-date schedules.
