Student artists' work chosen for prestigious Hyde
Collection
Seven students artists from Schuylerville Jr.-Sr. High
School have been chosen to have their work included in a
prestigious art show at the Hyde Collection Art Museum
in Glens Falls. They are: senior Kyle Fassett, junior
Delaney Jamrog, senior Joe Magliulo, sophomore Sara
Hanehan, junior Kayleigh Salls, sophomore Riley Burchell
and senior Ezra Brennan. Ezra had two pieces chosen for
display.
The museum is open to the public and the student work
will be on display until May 18, 2008. There will be an
open house and reception for the student artists on
Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The artwork was chosen as part of The 17th Annual
Regional Art Competition and Juried Art Show. More than
1,000 pieces of art from 20 area high schools were
considered and judges chose only 100 pieces for the
show. Judges were representatives from art colleges and
universities.
