Anne
Diggory
Artist Anne Diggory increases students’ understanding of
the way elements of both the visual and verbal arts are
used to express ideas. Students learn about the
parallels between learning to write and learning to draw
(skills of research, organization and editing). She uses
examples of her own work and student responses to talk
about how meaning is conveyed. Students also learn about
the joys and frustrations of being an artist, increase
their skills in responding to and analyzing works of art
and increase their skills in both drawing and writing
for expression. Visit the artist's Web site
here. |
Picasso People
Paintings are brought to
life using mime, mask, puppetry, narration and music
during these fun art performances. The Picasso People
invite students into the world of theater production,
allowing them to participate and develop the skills of a
performance artist. Various times in Picasso’s life are
portrayed through sequences of musical vignettes,
teaching students about the artist giant of the recent
century. Click
