School Banking
Schuylerville PEP in conjunction with Glens Falls National Bank is offering banking for students in grades K-6. This is a voluntary program that will allow students to deposit money into their account on a weekly basis. This interest-bearing variable rate account is designed to make saving easier for young people and their parents. Service charges are waived on this savings account. This opportunity is a great way for children to learn how to save money for their future.

Signing up to become a part of this program is easy:

Go directly to Glens Falls National Bank and tell them you would like to sign up for the school-banking program at Schuylerville Elementary. The bank is located at 73 Broad Street in Schuylerville. The bank's phone number is (518) 695-3224. Be sure to tell the bank personnel that you want to be a part of the Schuylerville school-banking program. Be sure to provide your child's name, teacher, and grade level.

Once your child is signed up, it is easy to participate in the program:

Once your child is registered, he/she will receive an envelope with a deposit slip in it. These envelopes will be given to children on Mondays. When your child is ready to make a deposit, he/she simply returns the envelope to school. Your child may deposit the envelope in the drop box in front of the library (Blueberry Road) or give it to his/her teacher.

All deposits will be picked up from school on Wednesdays. The students' envelopes will be returned to them on the following Monday, along with their receipt and a new deposit slip.

We encourage you to join us in helping kids save for their future. Please feel free to contact Jennifer McDonald at (518) 695-6704 with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the program.
