Homespun Dancing
(Third Grade)
Sessions of Homespun and Traditional Dancing are presented to the third grade students. The students receive an introduction to, and demonstration of, various "Old Country" musical instruments and how they became a part of our tradition, as musicians would get together to play and others in the communities would gather to dance to their music. They will also learn basic dance moves and simple "contra" dances. It is a fun and rewarding experience to interact with the live caller, musicians and classmates.

Peter, Paul, and George return to Schuylerville for in-class instruction on January 20 and 21, 2009. Homespun Family Night is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Elementary School cafeteria.
