Jr.-Sr. High School Athletics

The Schuylerville Central School District's Interscholastic Program offers students an opportunity for athletic competition in grades 7-12.

Schuylerville High School is a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA), competing as a Class B school in Section II. Our league affiliation is with the WASAREN league.

We believe that participation in athletics is an integral part of the total educational program and serves as a miniature model of life. Athletics provides opportunities for students to develop lifetime skills with regard to responsibility, team work, cooperation, concern for others, leadership, respect for authority, good citizenship, and loyalty, which will help our students in becoming well-round individuals.

Winter Sports Recognition Ceremony

The Winter Sports Recognition Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Jr.-Sr. High School auditorium. The program for modified athletes will begin at 6:45 p.m., while the program for junior varsity and varsity athletes will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Turf field experiences high-volume usage

Schuylerville’s turf field has experienced high-volume usage since its opening just one year ago. The installation of the field was approved by district residents in February 2010. The project was done with no additional cost to taxpayers after the first phases of the district’s construction project were completed under budget. [READ MORE]

New York State outdoor track and field top finishers

Congratulations to Schuylerville senior Sarah Palmer, who finished first in Division II for her fifth outdoor state title in the high jump division. She has been the New York State Division II champion since eighth grade. Teammate Samantha Watson placed sixth in Division II in the 2,000-meter steeplechase.
